Jonathan Little

Birthdate: 12/22/1984
Birthplace: Pensacola, Florida
Resides: Las Vegas, NV/Pensacola, FL

From an early age, it was clear that Jonathan Little was intellectually gifted. At 12, he started playing Magic: The Gathering with friends, eventually ranking ninth in the world in the Vintage format. In high school he excelled in the Program for Academically Talented Students and received several scholarships upon graduating. He went on to the University of West Florida, and it was then that he was introduced to poker. Though he was not a natural, he committed himself to studying the game, eventually becoming the best player in his area. At 18 he transitioned to online poker, becoming a low-stakes limit-hold’em grinder until reaching the $15/$30 tables. For two years he worked three full-time jobs - poker, college, and work at Pensacola Aviation. Eventually he built a $20,000 bankroll, quit his job, and forewent a scholarship to become a professional poker player.

At 21, Little toured the tournament circuit while continuing to compete online. Within a year he’d won a Party Poker Cruise package online and cashed in his first live major tournament, took second in the PokerStars Sunday Million, and cashed four times at the 2006 World Series of Poker. In 2007 he placed fifth at the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure, cashing for $320,000, earned $35,000 at the L.A. Poker Classic, went runner-up in a $3000 World Poker Tour preliminary event at the Bellagio, won the Mirage Poker Showdown for $1,090,000, and placed second at the WPT North American Poker Championship at Fallsview Casino, earning $715,000. The win secured him the Season VI WPT Player of the Year. In November of 2008, he won the Foxwoods World Poker Finals for $1,120,000. He’s also the youngest player to ever win two WPT titles.

Today, Little owns three homes and lives in Las Vegas. He is the owner and head coach at www.FloatTheTurn.com, a poker training website where amateur poker players develop skills necessary to become well rounded sit-‘n-go and multi-table tournament players. He also owns www.JonathanLittleSecrets.com where he offers private coaching as well as tournament training videos. Jonathan can be found online playing as “JonLittle” on Victory Poker.

When asked why he joined VictoryPoker.net, Little replied, “I joined Victory Poker because it is clear the site is the future of poker. They’ve assembled the greatest team of poker players on the planet and are operated by a great team. I am looking forward to working with Victory Poker and changing online poker as we know it.”
