In April 0f 2010, Team VictoryPoker.net welcomed Joel Nordkvist, a.k.a. “ODONKOR1.” This no-limit hold’em specialist was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and was intrigued by the game of poker while watching a World Poker Tour (WPT) broadcast that aired in his home country. Soon, he and his friends began playing poker for fun. After receiving a 20€ voucher from an online poker site, he steadily began to build a substantial bankroll.

In 2008, Nordqvist had effectively broke onto the poker scene, placing 28th in the European Poker Tour (EPT) Season Five no-limit hold’em main event in Barcelona. In 2009, he was nominated for “Best Online Poker Player” at the PokerStars’ Scandinavian Poker Awards. He made news in the Spring of 2010 when he swept several nose-bleed tables and raked in more than $850,000 in one week, becoming one of the top online poker winners.
